Outreach 2019-2020

As a FIRST Robotics Competition team, we seek to share experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math with our community in many ways. Most of those efforts have included children as the primary audience so far, but we welcome any opportunity to connect with our community.

Dark Side Robotics visited Constellium, an aluminum products manufacturing company in Ravenswood, WV, to learn about their industry, tour the plant, and present about our team to a group of their engineers and managers.

The Vienna Vikings FLL team came to visit Dark Side Robotics prior to their state competition to receive feedback and work with team members to develop some 3D printed models for their project in response to judge comments.

We hosted what we hope to be our first annual pumpkin drop at WVU-Parkersburg with the help of the Vienna Fire Department in order to promote engineering thinking in our local schools. Members of Dark Side robotics planned, hosted, announced,  and helped keep the event running.
